Intended Use:
Sodium fluoride tubes are used to collect, transport, and process blood for testing blood glucose, glucose tolerance, hemoglobin electrophoresis, anti-alkali hemoglobin, and lactate determinations in the clinical laboratory.
Principle:
The additive EDTA potassium salt chelates calcium ions in blood, preventing coagulation, while sodium fluoride inhibits glycolysis.
